Rainn Wilson as
MacGyver
June 23, 2008
The iconic status of MacGyver has been lifted along side those of Star Trek and Xena by
the star of NBCs hit comedy The Office. Rainn Wilsons series of
short video clips spoofing iconic TV shows so far includes Xena: Warrior Princess, Star
Trek: TNG, The Sopranos and now MacGyver!
Lee David
Zlotoff talks about how he created MacGyver
June 9, 2008
Just found this video of Lee David Zlotoffs speech at the Maker Faire, where he
tells a very interesting story of how he came up with the idea of MacGyver, where the name
came from and how MacGyver is pretty much based on his father.
You can now live
at the Phoenix Foundation
May 20, 2008
The suspension building used for the Phoenix Foundation external shots has been turned
into a Condo building with a mix of 2 bedroom, 1 bedroom and studio units.
So people can now live at the Phoenix Foundation! How kewl would that be?!
Mind you I'd be worried about it falling over. It looks very "delicate".
New MacGyver
movie could be in the works
May 4, 2008
Original MacGyver creator, Lee David Zlotoff announced while speaking at the Maker
Faire 2008 that he is working on plans for a MacGyver movie.
Zlotoff said that he acquired the movie rights years ago effectively giving him full
control over a movie. He gave very few specifics and made no formal announcement about his
plans.
Gizmodo.com followed up this comment with a question asking if a SAK would still be used
by a modern day MacGyver, to which Zlotoff responded that he thought a Leatherman tool
would be a "next generation" MacGyver tool.
You can view the video clip of Zlotoff answering this question on the Gizmodo.com site
